Let’s Give Thanks!!
What does Thanksgiving mean to you?
I think we should be giving thanks all year round rather than just one day out of the year. Some of us are very fortunate that even though things don’t always go our way, or we might not have much, there are many people all around that don’t have close to what we have.
So please, on this Thanksgiving pray for all those that are less fortunate than us.
God Bless You all!!
Have a great Holiday season.
Was This Really Necessary? (WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES)
I know for a fact that they could’ve figured out a different way to resolve the problem of these runaway animals… Can you say Tranquilizers? This is really a shame considering some of those animals were endngered. :/
this is from the “The Daily Dispatch” a newspaper in Ohio.
And I quote…
“Authorities worked overnight and through today in Zanesville tracking the some 58 tigers, lions, bears, wolves, and other exotic animals that made their way into public after Terry Thompson opened their gates last night before killing himself.
Yes, in almost all cases, that meant shooting the animals instead of attempting to tranquilize them. Plenty of folks are upset about that fact, though authorities have tried to explain their rationale.
A small handful were relocated to the Columbus zoo. The rest were killed.
Warning: these pictures are pretty graphic. And sad.”
LATINO 96.3 gets an exclusive sneak peek at “WINDSEEKER”
This morning David Rolas from Latino 96.3 (7-12am) was at KNOTT’S BERRY FARM at the exclusive event media day for the grand opening of america’s first theme park’s newest addition to their thrill ride family.
“WINDSEEKER”
Located in “Knott’s Fiesta Village”,its the tallest ride standing at 301 ft and rotating at speeds of 25-30 mph while swinging at a 45 degree angle. The highlight of this ride is the awesome panoramic view of the city that the rider gets as it spins. This is an all ages ride kids and adults can both enjoy.
One lucky listener JACKLYN RIVERA won tickets to this exclusive event as she became the first LATINO 96.3 listener to ride “WINDSEEKER.”
The real thrill for JACKLYN was to ride “WINDSEEKER” with DAVID ROLAS…….”She was actually really scared”hahaha.
I personally was very impressed with the strength of the bar that had to hold ROLAS
haha j/k
Here’s the footage that was taken of DAVID ROLAS on “WINDSEEKER”
Seriously…I had a chance to ride it myself and it was a fun ride. It’s very well designed for everyone to enjoy.Once your up there it completely changes your opinion of how it looks from the ground. The most dope part was when it picks up speed and the wind literally hits your face haha.
So remember if you’re a thrill seeker, love heights and awesome panoramic views

So you wanna be a rapper?
First off,
I love being an artist. But let me tell you. It hasn’t come easy. There’s been a lot of ups and downs, but one thing that I am 100% sure of is that I’ve worked hard to master my craft. The question is… How hard are you willing to work to master your craft?
A todo en la vida le tenemos que echar ganas. I get hit up all the time by artists that are trying to get help because they wanna “BLOW UP“… what is that? lol I’m still hungry and trying to “BLOW UP” myself… but i never say “NO” when it comes to giving artist’s advice. I’ll be the first one to tell you… work hard to be the best. And be very patient, because it doesn’t happen overnight except maybe in a few instances. But overall patience and persistence are the keys to a successful music career.
Your Network is Your Networth
Why are some artist’s so afraid of the networking side of things. You have to be out in the public’s eye in order to get noticed. And sometimes you do have to pay to get into event’s or music conventions in order to get your network on. Meet people. Take a chance and introduce yourself… You never know what can happen from a simple handshake and “Hello.”
Presentation
Invest in yourself a little bit… That’s what I say. I know times are rough and times are hard right now, but you have to believe in your talent… If you invest in your career, then other people will see that you are not afraid of putting your money where your mouth is. Spend a little and get a professional design done or a professional cd printed up. It’s that simple.
I hope that with these few words I have been able to answer some questions for some of you artit’s out there trying to get a deal or just trying to put your music out… I’ll hit you with some more insight soon….
Stay posted y echenle ganas!!
Feliz Lunes!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend, as for me it wasn’t too bad except that I came down with a flu… Sucks!! Summertime and getting sick don’t go together… :/ But I gotta make the best of it right.
My weekend was incredible though… Got to take my girls out to the L.A. Zoo and chill.. then i went out to hang with my boys from the Mexican Regional group Voces Del Rancho at Xalos Bar. I had a great time. Sometimes it’s good to listen to something new. And I love Regional Mexican music. I was raised on that stuff. Well, that’s all for now… talk to you guys tomorrow. Thanks for reading!!
Amy Whinehouse found dead!
Soul star Amy Winehouse was found dead at her north London home yesterday in what police described only as an “unexplained” death. Winehouse, 27, who sold more than five million records and was heralded across the globe for her Back to Black album, died as she had lived – immersed in controversy.
Police chiefs speaking outside her house in Camden Town warned against speculation that she had been killed by a drug overdose. The singer’s well-publicised battles with drink and drugs had haunted her career and often threatened to overshadow her undisputed talent. She cancelled a European tour recently after a performance in Belgrade in which she appeared to slur the lyrics to her best-known hits. Weeks before she had entered rehab for alcohol abuse. Doctors allegedly told her she would die if she did not stop drinking. Last week, she was back on stage again, looking relaxed if a little unsteady at the Roundhouse in London during a cameo appearance alongside singer Dionne Bromfield, her goddaughter. Less than 72 hours later, Winehouse was dead.
Her father, Mitch, was reportedly on a flight to New York when news of her death broke, and took the next plane back to London. The former taxi driver had spoken in the past of his worries over her wildchild lifestyle, once explaining how he had written a eulogy to read at her funeral, so fearful was he that she might die young.
Yesterday evening, beyond the police tape wrapped round her house in Camden Square, crowds of fans arrived with flowers and teddy bears. The group had dissipated by the time a body-bag was removed from the house later in the evening.
More fans gathered to toast the singer at The Hawley Arms, one of her favourite pubs in Camden – she was occasionally seen pulling pints behind the bar. Candles were lit outside, in her memory. The pub’s owners said: “She was a special person with a good soul and this should not have happened. We will sorely miss her.”
Winehouse was already dead when ambulance teams arrived at her house. Police superintendent Raj Kohli said: “I am aware of reports suggesting that the death was a result of a suspected drugs overdose, but I would like to re-emphasise that no post-mortem examination has yet taken place and it would be inappropriate to speculate on the cause of death.”
Winehouse’s ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, had long expressed the fear the singer would “die in his arms”. He told The Sun that two years ago he put her into the recovery position and pulled her tongue out of her mouth to stop her biting it. “I felt sure I was watching her die right in front of me,” he said.
A statement on Amy Winehouse’s website from her manager before her death alluded to her troubles. It read: “Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best.”
Some of the world’s best-known musicians lined up to pay tribute. Crooner Tony Bennett said: “She was an extraordinary musician with a rare intuition as a vocalist.” And producer Mark Ronson said: “Amy was my musical soulmate and like a sister to me.”
Her album Frank was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. But her real success came with Back to Black in 2006. It led to six Grammy nominations and five wins, equalling the record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night. A Brit award for Best British Female Artist followed in 2007, and she won the Ivor Novello Award three times.
Winehouse joins a long list of musical greats who died aged 27, while still having so much to give their craft. They include Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison and Rolling Stone Brian Jones.
