The Feel Good Moments–”Create the WHEN”
CREATE THE ‘WHEN’
Almost everyday,
I run across someone who has big dreams… Big goals in their life.
They say things like:
“I want to open up my own bakery shop.”
“I wanna, some day, travel the world.”
And sometimes,
Those dreams happen.
But most times, they fall short of their dream because they never created the “when.”
When you have a desire in your heart to accomplish something,
You need to determine WHEN you are going to do it.
In college, I randomly developed the desire to LEARN Spanish,
So, I created the “when.”
I gave myself a date on WHEN I would start learning.
I told myself, “in three months, I will take a Spanish class.” And I did!
From there I took another class … And another… Read books on Spanish, listened to
Spanish music.
“And ahora, yo hablo espanol bien!”
And it all started because I created the “when”.
When you set out to do something,
Don’t just SAY your plan… Say WHEN you’re going to start.
“But, Nate… I have a really busy schedule, and I don’t know when I’ll have time to do
that.”
Well… You make time for things you really want.
So, Today…
Write down the thing it is you want to accomplish,
and then?
Write down WHEN you’re going to START.
You don’t have to have everything figured out at the moment…
All you gotta do… is take it one step at a time.

What We Want Vs. What We HAVE
WHAT WE WANT VS. WHAT WE HAVE
The grass seems to ALWAYS be greener on the other side!
No matter how much we have in life,
we tend to never be satisfied–we want MORE!
You’re riding a bicycle,
you wish you had a car.
You finally get a car,
you want a nicer car.
Once you get a nicer car,
you want more cars!
All through our lives,
we are rarely SATISFIED with what we HAVE!
My wife and I live in a nice little apartment.
But lately, we’ve been dreaming of owning a big house with a nice yard.
I find myself looking at our place now, thinking “this isn’t good enough–its not
big enough!
Here we have a ONE bedroom… But, I want THREE!”
Yesterday, I met a guy… who was living with his wife–out of his CAR!
I saw him in his packed car, doing his morning shave, while his wife was
reading her morning paper.
From talking to them, they actually seemed to be content with what they had.
From there, I realized this:
No matter WHAT… you’re ALWAYS going to want more.
But If you TRULY want to be happy.
You need to learn to be satisfied with what you HAVE.
If you have to catch the bus to work.
enjoy the scenary!
You have a generic name purse…
It’s all good!
You don’t need a brand name anyway–Save your money!
Life needs to be spent, wanting JOY–
Because THAT is something we ALL need to have!
